Christmas/Anniversary!

So folks, Christmas is only like eight days away! I hope everybody is as excited as I am. Tommorow me and my Mother are driving to _______ to pick up my sister from college for her break. She goes to a university, I go to a community college so I still live at home. I can't wait to see her though. My sister is really cool, we get along very well. She is staying until January 19th, I think. Also, around that time my Step-Father is coming home. He is going to be home on the 16th. I don't get along with him that well, but he is a lot nicer then my real Father. Also, he treats my Mother well. Right now he is in Iraq, but he isn't coming home for good, just for a week or so then he's going back. Anyway, so yeah: CHRISTMAS. It is a great time of year, my favorite. I wish it would snow though. Oh well.

So on to bigger and better topics: Christmas Eve!! Lol, well not really but kinda. December 24th will be mine and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary. Yes I am very excited. I care about him very much and it really doesn't feel like it has been a whole year.

Gay Marriage

As time passes it seems to be that things that were looked at as taboo in the past have become more accepted in everyday life. With this being the 21st century some things are more agreed upon then they ever were. Think about it, we see two men or two women walking down the sidewalk holding hands; we do not care, usually. Everybody is trying to be the open-minded, popular, easy to get along with person who does not mind what or who you are. This is especially true with the younger generations of America. With this “acceptance” that Americans claim to have for homosexual couples, it surely seems to be lacking in the marriage category, you know the category that actually counts. This unstable commitment towards the acceptance of their happiness could be a result of several things. A main one of these reasons is that our country is regulated and ran predominately by elderly, homophobic, male politicians; who coincidently seem to keep getting caught in the restroom with other males. Back to the point though, I am sure that these men have been married for so long that they obviously think that anyone who desires marriage as much as these homosexual couples must be a lunatic. Something else to take into consideration is that Christianity is the main religion in our country, and the bible is against homosexuality. Obviously these politicians just want to look proficient to the majority of the population. Gee, that’s some separation between the church and state. Honestly, these bible-thumping bigots love saying that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, and the only reason to be married is to procreate and populate our planet. With this reason for marriage in our minds, why are the men and women who are not capable of reproducing allowed to wed while homosexuals still cannot? This sounds an awful lot like a double standard to me. I would also like to state that there are enough bratty, imp-like children trotting around our country and every couple does not need to add to this growing amount of these miniature terrorists.

Introduction =]

So I -love- to blog but this is the first time I've joined any blog site. I Just enjoy writing and what better way then to write about my feelings in a blog. This blog is just an introduction, I guess. So lets get to that.

My name is Alissa. Pronounced Uh-lis-uh. Normally this name is spelt Alyssa, if that helps. My nickname is Ally though. I go by either one. Ally is a nickname I was given by a good friend I met through an AB/DL website. For those of you who do not know, AB/DL is an acronym which stands for adult baby/diaper lover. This is a complicated thing to explain. Getting down to it though, I enjoy the feeling of a diaper and I enjoy being treated as a child would be treated. My boyfriend does this for me. Anyone who has a problem with this, please don't harass me.

OKAY. I live in North Carolina, I don't enjoy where I live; there are not enough things to do and it is too humid. Also it is a military town. This is where I live though and hopefully I will get out of here soon. I have lived here since I was 6 or 7 years old, so I know a lot of people here. At least that helps the situation.

My hobbies include (but are not limited to) Photography, Culinary Arts, Sewing, Writing, Caligraphy, and *some* Theatre. For years I wanted to be a Photographer, but now I don't think that's what I will pursue. Now I wish to make clothing for adult babys. This means making baby clothes in adult sizes. I just want this as a side business, I am going to be a teacher. Right now I am in school.

Well this is all I am going to write for now. Thank you all for reading.
